Until now there hasn’t been a universally recognised symbol that indicates facilities and services designed for people with hidden disabilities.
The Any Disability symbol design builds on the campaign started by schoolgirl Grace Warnock, to raise awareness of hidden disabilities and prevent prejudice of the challenges people can face.
In Summer 2019, Martin Whitfield MP led a House of Commons cross-party debate on invisible disabilities and accessibility challenges.
This is where the Any Disability symbol was launched, receiving full cross-party support from 50 MPs including the Minister of State for Disabled People, Justin Tomlinson MP.
Since then many organisations across the UK have implemented the symbol to raise awareness and highlight facilities and services suitable for people living with a wide range of hidden conditions. By using this symbol you can help ease some of the challenges faced by thousands of people every day.
